this week I recorded the 63rd edition of my Home Concert series for you. It follows the path of my recent livesets, which were a bit quieter, leaving more room for improvisation and spontaneous ideas. Sequencer work is also part of the set.

Welcome to the 62nd edition of my Home Concert series. In this set I present four new (long) Ambient tracks. Most sounds are from the Arturia Minifreak, Sequential Pro3, Waldorf Iridium, my modular system and the Luftrum Ambient 3 library. All music was arranged, mixed and recorded in Bitwig 5.2.

This 85 minutes long Dub Techno album features music, which I have recorded in the last years, but not released until now.
Tracks 1 & 2 were recorded live during my Home Concert nr. 42.
Track 3 was produced in December 2023
Tracks 4 – 10 were recorded live during my Home Concert nr. 48.
Track 11 was produced as a demo track for a Luftrum soundset.

This is the first part of my live concert at Emmauskirche in Wuppertal, recorded on March 22nd 2024. I tried to bring some of my already released music live on stage, so will find tracks from my previous releases and Home Concerts in the set. Part 2, which will feature more improvised and quieter Ambient music, is going to be released next week.

Martin Stürtzer’s new album ‘Spaceport’ features an hour of music filled with synthesizer sequences, analog noises, lush pads and cosmic echoes. The seven tracks were recorded during the “home concert” live series as well as during studio production sessions. The first CD release after 2022s ‘Relativity’ comes in a nice Digipack with inside out print.

Welcome to the 59th edition of my Home Concert series. In this set I present five new Ambient tracks. I used a few instruments, which I had not in my studio for a while. Like the Moogerfooger Ringmodulator, the Modular system and the Waldorf Microwave 1 (in the rack off screen). Music was arranged in Bitwig using midi for the hardware synths and also a few software instruments. My main controller is the Midi Fighter Twister with a script for Bitwig.
I am delighted to announce a live concert in Wuppertal on march 22nd. Taking place at Zentrum Emmaus, which also happens to be my new church workplace since last year. I am going to play two sets: starting the night with sequencer action and maybe some Dub Ambient tunes. Then we will have a break, followed by a Space Ambient / Drone set. Welcome to the first home concert of the new year. For this liveset I recorded five new tracks in between Ambient and Downtempo music. The Elektrons are back in business and taking care of the drums, some sequences and rhythmic patterns. Synthesizer sounds are mostly from my hardware synths, controlled via Midi by Bitwig.
The music of this Home Concert will be released on Bandcamp and the streaming services on the evening of Sunday, 7th.
I want to share the recordings of two piano sonatas by Ludwig van Beethoven with you, which I recorded at home this month. There might be hundreds of better recordings out there, but at least you can find out, how I play them.
